Description

Frequently Asked Questions
What size cylinder glass pendant light is best for a kitchen island? +
The 11.8-inch (30 cm) model is best suited for hanging in a row of two or three over standard 6-to-8-foot kitchen islands, while the 15.8-inch (40 cm) and 19.7-inch (50 cm) sizes work better as standalone statement lights or over oversized bars. Its low-profile 7.9-inch (20 cm) height maintains open sightlines across the counter without obstructing conversation. For multi-pendant installations, allow approximately 24 to 30 inches of spacing between each glass shade.
What is the difference in lighting effect between the clear and smoked glass pendant light? +
The clear glass version delivers direct, brilliant illumination that casts clean light across the entire room, while the smoked glass option gently diffuses the beam to create a moody, ambient glow with reduced direct glare. Both styles feature a straight-walled cylinder silhouette with an open bottom, ensuring focused downward task lighting on surfaces below. Your choice depends on whether you prioritize bright, functional kitchen lighting or cozy, atmospheric bar and dining illumination.
What type of E27 bulb looks best in this industrial cylinder pendant light? +
Vintage decorative Edison-style E27 LED bulbs are the best match because the fully transparent cylinder puts the internal bulb on direct display as part of the fixture's aesthetic. You can use standard A60 shapes or larger globe-style filaments depending on the shade diameter you choose. The light supports any E27 base bulb powered by standard 110–220V residential wiring, though bulbs must be purchased separately.
How do you change the bulb and clean the inside of this glass cylinder pendant light? +
You can replace the bulb quickly from below without taking the fixture apart thanks to the wide, open-bottom glass design. For routine maintenance, wipe the glass shade inside and out with a lint-free microfiber cloth and standard glass cleaner to remove dust or kitchen grease film. Always cut off electrical power at the breaker panel before reaching inside or cleaning near the E27 socket.
Can this glass pendant light be installed in a bathroom or outdoor covered patio? +
No, this pendant light carries an IP20 ingress protection rating, certifying it exclusively for dry, indoor living areas such as kitchens, dining zones, and dry commercial lounges. It does not provide protection against water splashes, high steam, or humid condensation, which can corrode internal electrical parts over time. To ensure longevity and safe operation, do not hang it directly above showers, unventilated damp zones, or exterior porches.
